How Does Invisalign® Work?
You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.
As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position Dr. Hendrix has prescribed.
You’ll visit Dr. Hendrix about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
Although the time and the total number of aligners needed will vary from patient to patient, entire treatment time averages 9-15 months, and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30.
Invisalign clear aligners are custom designed to realign your teeth and reposition your jaw comfortably. Dr. Hendrix will monitor the progression of your treatment throughout your treatment to ensure that successful results.
Invisalign clear aligners are highly effective for treating mild to moderate orthodontic concerns. Dr. Hendrix will help patients determine if Invisalign is right for them. As with traditional braces, patients will benefit from wearing a retainer after treatment to keep teeth properly aligned for years to come.
The cost of Invisalign and braces vary depening on the extent of necessary treatment and usually are comparable. Our Hendrix care team will outline the full cost of your treatment during the initial exam.
